Venue: Whickham Golf Club
It was a wet and windy day on Thursday 10th May, but that didn’t stop our teams of golfers from enjoying our Golf Day.
Held in the beautiful surroundings of Whickham Golf Club, participants enjoyed hot bacon sandwiches and coffee on arrival before tackling 18 holes of golf on a superbly kept, but challenging course. The winning team, hosted by ncj media’s Gary Ramsey, came home with 86 points, and were closely followed by s a media with 81.
When they returned to the club house, looking rather windswept, everyone thoroughly enjoyed some hearty home cooked food, provided by Whickham clubhouse’s resident chef. Weekend breaks, signed sporting memorabilia and four balls were won in the raffle and auction, and the day raised nearly £4,000.
