Casino Holding Special Night To Raise Cash For Charity

A CASINO will be hosting a night of psychic readings in order to raise funds for charity. Top psychics from across the North East will be offering both group and private readings for the past, present and future, through the use of crystal, angel and tarot cards and palm reading.
Psychics Jo Harward, Karen Dawson and ‘Margaretta’ will be performing the readings on Wednesday, May 13, at Grosvenor Casino, St James’s Boulevard, Newcastle.

All entry proceeds will be donated to The Evening Chronicle’s Sunshine Fund, which is a specialised charity that aims to enhance the lives of local disabled children and their families by providing essential equipment and learning aids. It is the fourth time the casino has held a psychic night, and past fundraisers include raising over £2,000 for the Army Benevolent fund, as well as supporting the Charlie Bear for Cancer charity, which featured Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor as a special guest. Cheryl Flowers, organiser of the event, said: “We are expecting it to be very busy, and we advise anyone who wants to attend to make reservations, or to book a private reading, to contact me directly on (0191) 221 1660, or our switchboard on (0191) 260 3303.
“It is important that anyone who is wanting to attend does bring with them some photographic ID, as we are a casino, so you must be over the age of 18 to enter.”

Also available will be the opportunity to experience an Indian head massage. An auction will also take place on the night, with all of the money raised also going to the charity.
