GIFT IS A RAY OF LIGHT

21 August 2008

.

IT was brightly lit smiles all round today as SEC Lighting donated £1,500 to the Chronicle’s Sunshine fund as part of their Make it Zero campaign.

Southern Electric Contracting (SEC), which deals with Tyne & Wear street lights, started their Make it Zero campaign recently to give teams of contractors the chance to win money for a charity of their choice.

The Make it Zero award has so far donated £70,000 to good causes around the country. The most recent winner was SEC Lighting contracting construction manager Billy Morland and his team. Billy said: “We are proud that our teams safe working has resulted in this gift being made possible to such an important charity.”

The money will be used to help disabled children receive the specialised care they need.
