ONE GIANT LEAP FOR DANNY LITTLE

09 September 2008

.

Danny   Walker  is jumping for joy on his new trampoline. The six-year-old, who suffers from cerebral palsy, is the latest youngster to benefit from the Chronicle’s  Sunshine  Fund.

The £110 trampoline will improve  Danny ’s fitness and allow him to play in the garden with his pals in Gateshead town centre. His learning support officer, who is also a trampoline coach, recommended the equipment.

Danny , who lives with his mum and dad, who also has cerebral palsy, received a tricycle from the  Sunshine  Fund last year. The fund makes a massive difference to the lives of disabled and seriously-ill children in the North East through the provision of essential equipment, learning aids and custom-built apparatus.

It is able to provide grants through the fundraising efforts of Chronicle readers and the support of many local businesses.

To find out more about the  Sunshine  Fund andf the invaluable work it does, call (0191) 201 6289 or log on to www.eveningchroniclesunshine fund.org.
